Polynucleotides Treatment
Polynucleotides: Your Skin’s Fountain Of Youth
At Manor Health, we offer a range of Polynucleotides including Plenhyage XL, Plinest and Skymedic PDRN. Polynucleotides are a ground-breaking injectable gel meticulously formulated to breathe new life into your skin leaving it looking hydrated, smoother and youthful. It is an investment into your skin and maximum results are seen from 2-3 months post-treatment.
What Do Polynucleotides Do?
Polynucleotides don’t just touch the surface; they work their magic deep within your skin cells. By stimulating fibroblasts and stem cells, it actively repairs damaged tissue by encouraging cell turnover and improving skin quality, thickness, and hydration. Its potent anti-free radical action combats oxidative stress, cell damage, and UV rays, countering the signs of ageing caused by these factors.
Your Polynucleotides Appointment
We ensure all of our clients are relaxed and looked after during their treatment. We understand that for some, injectable treatments can feel a little scary (but completely worth it!) – but don’t worry, our friendly and experienced aesthetician will talk you through the treatment so you know exactly what to expect and ensure it is as painless and comfortable as possible.
Polynucleotides can be put into the skin via a cannula, microneedle, Co2 Laser or Injected. Our experienced practitioner, Maria, will talk you through your options prior to your treatment. Different brands have varying percentages of highly purified polynucleotides. Here at Manor Health we have a range that currently include Plenhyage XL, Plinest and Skymedic PDRN with the highest concentration.
Normally, you will not notice the benefits for a few weeks. This is because the action of polynucleotides is at the cellular level, and this takes time. Although you may notice some improvement after 2-3 weeks, the full effect is only visible at 3 months. This is the only downside of polynucleotides. You may have to put up with the downtime without seeing any benefits for weeks to months.
Preparing For Your Treatment
To ensure the best possible outcome, a few preparations are in order:
Medication Consideration: Avoid over-the-counter blood-thinning medications like Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, and Aleve in the days leading up to your treatment.
Medication List: Document all the medications you are currently taking and bring the list with you to your consultation.
Alcohol Abstinence: Refrain from consuming alcohol for 24 hours before your Polynucleotides treatment.
What is the difference between Skin Boosters and Polynucleotides?
While skin boosters excel in providing essential hydration, Polynucleotides sets itself apart by going the extra mile. It not only hydrates but also rejuvenates your skin at a cellular level, making it an ideal choice for those seeking lasting skin transformation and natural results.
Versatile Applications of Polynucleotides
This treatment is a versatile solution for various skin concerns, making it a go-to option for both facial and body treatments:
Anti Ageing: Experience a significant enhancement in skin quality, thickness, and hydration. It goes beyond surface improvements and actively promotes the formation of new collagen, effectively erasing the visible signs of ageing.
Acne Scarring and Scars: Combined with a Co2 Resurfacing treatment, Polynucleotides will speed up the results that will effectively reduce and often remove scars.
Hyperpigmentation: Plenhyage XL is a potent tool against hyperpigmentation, including sunspots. A course of treatment can work wonders in returning the affected areas to their original, even skin tone.
Rosacea: For those dealing with rosacea-related redness, Plenhyage XL is a ray of hope. Polynucleotides in the formula have shown remarkable abilities in controlling inflammation and soothing irritated skin, resulting in reduced redness.
The Benefits of Polynucleotides

What is the Difference Between Polynucleotides and Profhilo?
This is a commonly asked question. Polynucleotides and Profhilo are both injectable skin treatments aimed at improving skin quality, but they differ in their formulations and primary functions. Profhilo is composed of a high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid, which hydrates the skin, enhances firmness, and stimulates collagen and elastin production.
While both treatments aim to rejuvenate the skin, Polynucleotides focuses more on cellular regeneration, whereas Profhilo primarily provides deep hydration and tissue remodelling. See our Profhilo treatment today if this sounds more suited to you.
FAQs
What will my skin look like after treatment?
After a treatment, you may notice microdroplets of the product beneath the skin surface or some mild swelling depending on the technique used. This is minimal downtime and will usually settle in 1-3 days. Delicate areas such as the eyes and neck will show swelling more than thicker skin such as the face and body.
Does a Polynucleotide Treatment hurt?
This depends on the area treated and the technique used. Typically, clients will experience some slight stinging but this is only whilst the treatment takes place and subsides immediately after. Prior to treatment, numbing cream and cool packs, which help reduce any potential swelling, discomfort, or bruising will be used.
Is Polynucleotides Treatment Safe?
Rest assured, this treatment is both safe and CE-approved. Before each treatment, a comprehensive consultation and medical check are conducted to ensure your safety and suitability.
What qualifications does your practitioner have?
Our dedicated aesthetician, Maria, is a Level 7 Aesthetic Practitioner. Her expertise lies in Aesthetics and Injectables, making these treatments her daily focus.
How long does the Polynucleotide Treatment last?

What to expect after your treatment?
Following your treatment, you may experience slight bruising and small areas of swelling where the product is distributed. These effects typically resolve within 2-4 days as the product proliferates throughout the skin’s surface.
How soon will I see results?
You can anticipate visible results approximately three weeks after your treatment. With time, your skin will continue to improve, revealing a more radiant and rejuvenated complexion. Maximum results are seen from 2-3 months post-treatment and we recommend an ongoing treatment every 6-9 months.
