How Are Dark Circles Treated?

What Are Dark Circles?
Dark circles are areas of skin beneath the eyes that appear darker than the surrounding skin, taking a range of colours, including purple, blue, brown, or even black. These discolourations are caused by a combination of factors.
Genetics – Some people naturally have thinner or more transparent skin under their eyes, making blood vessels and underlying structures more visible, making genetics a significant factor when it comes to getting dark circles.
Ageing – As you grow older, you begin to lose collagen and your skin starts to thin. This in turn can accentuate the appearance of dark circles beneath your eyes.
Sleep Deprivation – Another common culprit is when you have a lack of sleep. This dilates blood vessels, increasing the prominence of dark circles, and fatigue from little or no sleep can make the skin look paler.
